Our large Sunday gatherings are a crucial part of our weekly rhythm. But our vision of life following Jesus is incomplete without smaller gatherings throughout our weeks. At Soma, an important kind of these gatherings are our Missional Communities (MCs). MCs are all about "the pursuit of God in the company of friends." They are open to members and guests, Christians and non-Christians alike. Each MC is unique, but all of them are built around the core components of Soma's vision: formation, community, and mission. In every part of Soma, our vision is "practicing the way of Jesus together for the life of the world," with an emphasis on practice. The Christian life isn't only a matter of knowing truth about God, ourselves, and the world, but living it out -- being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. Practice Guides are multi-week "studies" that MCs can use together to grow in that practice.
